This is where I whine, declare, and surmise.

About Us

Why is the title “About Us,” when this blog is about only one person? I know you were thinking it.

Deanna and I have three kids now.

  • Our only daughter is 8, The Princess.
  • The eldest son is 6, The Padawan.
  • #3 is 3, The Wookie.
  • The newest is 1, The Joker.

We are 6 strong, and that should be it. I think we have enough for our very own Nascar pit crew. We are proud of our kids, and love spending time together as a family.

Just before The Wookie was born, we went out to Texas for our first big road trip. That turned out to be a hard trip, since Deanna was sick most of the way back. It did end up to be a blessing, though, since my Grandpa passed away the week after we got to see him.

Our first Washington road trip was to see a good family friend get married. Dan McArthur’s daughter, Audrey. The second, in January ‘07, was our scout trip. We thought about trying to pursue a relocation effort to the Portland, OR area. In September ‘07 that plan fell apart. So, we remain SoCal residents.

A reverse chronology of my life, (still in progress):

2008…we’ll see what happens!

2007…became obsessed and in love with photography.

1998…got married, one of the best decisions of my life.

1994…graduated high school.

1993…visited Zimbabwe, that’s in Africa.

1992…visited Equador, that’s in South America.

1988…last time the Dodgers won the World Series. Hey! It’s important to me.

1987…The Lord saved me, I’m reformed. (I accepted the Lord; for the Arminians.)

1975…born.

My growing list of things about me:

1. When I was 6 years old, I asked for an Encyclopedia set for Christmas.

2. Before I was 10 years old I had read it, all of it.

3. I am an Eagle Scout.

4. I have a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do.

5. I read the Bible.

6. I was on the Price is Right, and won every level up to the “Showcase Showdown.”

7. I can read Koine Greek.

8. I manage more than 16 domains.

9. On February 14, 2007, I popped my first button. Yes, I need to loose some weight.

10. I am a proud member of my generation, the first to be able to kick our kids’ butts on our video game systems.

11. The Padawan can beat you at Lego Star Wars, any edition.

12. I like to take photographs.

Hello there!

Got here by way of photowalking.org. I just registered and am hoping
to meeting some people who would be interested in doing photowalking
together in my area (morris county, NJ
(kinda like a hiking club, but everyone has cameras at
the ready :))
By the way, the format on your site is weird on my screen. the text goes off
the colored page and into the blankness that is the margin. Could this be just
because of my monitor or is your blog really weird? :)

I also read the Bible :)

Nice to meet you!

“I am a proud member of my generation, the first to be able to kick our kids’ butts on our video game systems.” man, this is too funny. I grew up on the ColecoVision and have played a lot of different games in my life but I don’t think I could beat any kids since my brother is six years younger and I never have really been able to consistently beat him at anything. And I just lost 3 out of 4 games to my 27 year old cousin at Madden last weekend which I previously was pretty good at.

When I was 7 I also read the encyclopedia
I also read the Bible (and work at a Bible Institute)
I manage or admin a pile of domains
I am taking a course in Koine Greek
And I like to take photographs…

Great to find people of similar interests & goals online. Most blogs & sites I see that interest me are so postmodern & humanistic.
