This is a great article about starting a Web 2.0 company.

This is a test of the emergency broadcast system. This is only a test.

I recently downloaded and tried a new web browser called Flock. It appears to be designed with bloggers and other Web 2.0/social web-minded users in mind.

It looks similar to Safari, and seems to even be faster. It has a few built-in features that really appeal to me. I like that it has an RSS/news reader built-in. I also like the tool I’m using right now. I can use the “Blog Tool” to write, edit, code, and design my blog posts. Since I use WordPress for most of my web content presentation and management, this kind of tool can really be good for me.

Additionally, I was able to write this post while not connected to the web. I wrote it and then published it later. That’s great for me.

We’ll see how Flock does with being used for a few days.

Great new photo site

14 November, 2006 (22:38) | Uncategorized | By: trevor

Earlier this year I signed up with Flickr and have played around a little bit. I see why so many people love it. It really is a great Web 2.0 tool.

Recently, I heard about a new site that competes head to head with Flickr. It’s called Zooomr. So I gave it a try.

Not only is it unbelievably easy, but it has some great features that I can really use. I thought I’d post a photo from my new Blackberry Pearl. The coolest part is that I took the photo on Halloween night, then I emailed it to a special Zooomer address, set up just for me. That’s it.

Here’s that great photo.

Virtual Office…

13 November, 2006 (10:45) | Uncategorized | By: trevor

I haven’t posted much lately. Sorry. I have been working on ScribeTV. It is a lot of work writing a business plan. I’m also learning a whole lot.

There are several great tools that I’ve been using to keep me updated on the online world of media and content creation. Above all, blogs have been the most vital tool. I’m compiling my list of blogs I read daily, and I’ll post them here soon.

I also use Digg for information gathering. Recently I stumbled upon a great post at LifeHacker that is a compiled list of tools that are necessary for operating a virtual office. You know, when a team regularly works together, but they’re not actually together.

Yet another musician mistake!

6 September, 2006 (00:39) | Uncategorized | By: trevor

Way back when I started this blog, I wrote a simple piece that was a rant. In the light of that post, I discovered a really great post that I just had to share with you.

Musicians of the world,
You know that super-secret hidden track you guys keep putting at the end of the last track on your CDs? Well, you may stop doing that now.

Very funny. True. Please go read the whole article.

9/11 Tribute…

2 September, 2006 (02:23) | Uncategorized | By: trevor

Hey, pay attention to my ProBlog, CoffeeTribune on September 11th. I’ll be joining over 3000 bloggers who are posting a tribute to one of the victims of the World Trade Center terrorist attacks. Each participating blogger is randomly given a victim’s name and basic information. Then we have the opportunity to research the victim, and then we all will post our tribute on 9/11.

Strongest Dad…

17 August, 2006 (08:11) | Uncategorized | By: trevor

Dick Hoyt. The man who is his son’s closest example of Christ in his life. A man of tremendous strength and fortitude. Sports Illustrated wrote an article about this man and his son, back in June of 2005, and it made me cry.

For fear of SI suing me for copyright issues, I won’t paste their article here. And since SI insists on letting only subscribers read it online, I’ll put links to other media outlets that have covered the story. A great video of father and son is below.

Basically the story is of Dick Hoyt and his son Rick Hoyt. When Rick was born, he had the umbillical cord wrapped around his neck. Loss of oxygen for a period of time meant he would be disabled for life. Everyone said he was unreachable. Dick’s persistance helped him reach his son by the two partcipating a 5 mile organized run, while Dick pushed Rick in a wheelchair. This experience has lead to 85 marathons, 212 triathalons, and 4 ironmans. How’d you like to be a 25 year old stud getting passed in the open ocean by a 65 year old dude towing a grown man in a dinghy? It happens, all the time.

Read the stories below and you’ll learn how Rick’s dream is to one day push his dad. It won’t take too much insight to realize that these guys love the Lord, and will most likely see this dream come true, while spending eternity with God in heaven.
