Nascar winner a foreigner
NASCAR had its first foreign label winner since 1954 today!
Exciting news coming out of Atlanta, Georgia today, the #18 Snickers Toyota Camry dominated the Sprint Cup, Kobalt Tools 500 at the Atlanda Motorspeedway today. That fast Toyota was driven by the always wild, Kyle Busch, racing for Joe Gibbs Racing. (Yes, that is the same Joe Gibbs of NFL fame.)
I won’t detail the race, or repeat what you can find better reported elsewhere. I just wanted to highlight Toyota’s clear intention of becoming not just a major player in NASCAR, but a dominating champion.
In addition to Toyota’s demonstration of their winning spirit, my driver, Dale Earnhardt Jr. finished third. This was Dale Junior’s third top ten finish, in four races. Not bad!
