This is where I whine, declare, and surmise.

So, what do I do with an ultra wide angle?

Alright, I finally have the opportunity to get a new lense. ROCK ON!

I’ve ordered the Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6, and it should be here next week. I’m planning to use it for interior architectural shooting. That’s the current need.

However, I’m sure that there’s a whole bunch more that I can do with it. What? (put it in the comments)

You know, I’m not sure. Here’s an idea — mail me the lens and I’ll do some experimenting and get back to you. Someday. ;)

I’ve never used such a wide lens. I’m sure you’re going to have some fun with it.

Check out this really cool perspective of a stairway:

The stairs are already curved, so the lens just enhances it.

Shoot the sky, take pics of the kids, get low, get close, shoot at 10mm and use the distortion for artistic advantage, shoot tall buildings and other architecture, etc, etc…

Throw it on the camera and go out shooting without bringing any other lenses — you’ll find lots of things to shoot in new ways.
