Photowalking the Santa Barbara Mission
You may or may not know that I recently started using the awesome photo sharing site, Zooomr. I have blogged about it here.
At Zooomr, I met Thomas Hawk. Since then I have followed along as Tom and Robert Scoble, of the Scoble Show, have occasionally gone on a photowalk. What is a photowalk you ask? You may not find much if you google it. So I’ll tell you.
A photowalk is basically a loosely organized event, usually planned around a photogenic location or an interesting person to the photo taking population. Tom and Robert have done several photowalks and each has blogged and video blogged them all.
I’m putting together a photowalk. You are invited. What will we photograph? When will do it?
The Santa Barbara Mission is a wonderful subject. All who are interested can join me on February 3rd, 2007. We’ll meet at 1 pm and probably hang around until 4 pm. This allows you to get lunch or dinner or both in one of Southern California’s more unique cities. Additionally, you will find a great variety of wonderful restaurants within a short distance of the mission. Check out SantaBarbara.com for some ideas for good places to eat.
The mission has a small admission of $4 for all 12 years and older and $1 for 6 to 11 years old. And FYI, the mission is open 7 days a week, from 9 am to 5 pm.
The mission is located at 2201 Laguna St, Santa Barbara, CA.
