Scooters in New York…
Last year, Deanna and I went to the Big Apple for our anniversary. We had a great time. It was the first trip there for both of us. One thing that caught my attention while we were there was the NYPD motorcops on Piaggio scooters.They were basically fancy Vepsa’s. What a sweet ride. I’d love that detail.

Hey, saw pics of these once and did some research. Basically during the last Republican convention these were donated to the NYPD, Piaggia BV 200, all identically keyed, and modified to give a top speed of 75MPH. They’re not the first scoots used in the NYPD, I believe the last batch were Yamahas, but don’t quote me on that, but these are certainly some of the most powerful, and more realisticly a police vehicle than previous ones.
